A plain-language guide to how Teen Patti Masters is played, which hands beat which, and the habits that separate careful players from reckless ones.
Teen Patti hand rankings (highest to lowest)
Teen Patti uses a standard 52-card deck and three cards per player. The odds below are the chance of being dealt each hand in a single deal.
| Hand | Example | Odds |
|---|---|---|
| Trail (Trio / Set)Three of the same rank. A-A-A is the best hand in the game. | A♠ A♥ A♦ | 0.24% |
| Pure SequenceThree cards in a row, all one suit. | Q♥ K♥ A♥ | 0.22% |
| Sequence (Run)Three cards in a row, mixed suits. | 4♣ 5♦ 6♠ | 3.26% |
| Color (Flush)Three cards of one suit, not in sequence. | 2♦ 8♦ J♦ | 4.96% |
| PairTwo cards of the same rank. | 9♠ 9♣ K♥ | 16.94% |
| High CardNone of the above. Highest card decides. | A♣ 10♦ 6♥ | 74.39% |
If two players hold the same type of hand, compare the highest card, then the next, then the last. In sequences, A-K-Q is the top run and A-2-3 is usually ranked second.
How to play Teen Patti: a round step by step
- 01
Boot
Every player puts in a fixed starting amount (the boot) before cards are dealt. This builds the pot. - 02
Deal
Each player gets three cards face down. - 03
Blind or Seen
Play blind (without looking) or look at your cards and play seen. Blind players bet half as much as seen players. - 04
Chaal
On your turn, bet (chaal) to stay in or pack (fold). A seen player bets 2x the current stake; a blind player bets 1x. - 05
Side Show
A seen player can ask the previous seen player to compare hands privately. The weaker hand folds. - 06
Show
When only two players remain, either can pay for a show. Both hands are revealed and the higher one takes the pot.
Teen Patti Master variations
AK47
Every Ace, King, 4 and 7 is a wild card (joker) that can stand in for any card. Strong hands become much more common, so a plain pair is worth far less than in the classic game.
Muflis (Lowball)
The rankings are flipped: the lowest hand wins. A high card hand with 2-3-5 of mixed suits is the best you can hold, and a Trail is the worst. Re-read the table upside down before you play.
Joker
One card is turned up (or chosen at random) as the joker, and every card of that rank becomes wild. Watch the joker each round; it changes which hands are worth playing.
Teen Patti Master tips, tricks and strategy
- 01
Set a budget first
Decide a fixed amount for the session before you open the app, and stop when it is gone. Never chase losses. - 02
Know the odds
About three out of four deals are only a high card. A pair or better is already above average. - 03
Don't stay blind too long
Blind is cheaper per bet, but staying blind for many rounds means betting without information. - 04
Fold weak hands early
Packing a low high card after seeing it costs nothing more; staying in costs double. - 05
Use side shows wisely
A side show can end a contest cheaply when you hold something mid-strength, like a low pair. - 06
Watch how others bet
A player who suddenly raises after seeing their cards usually has something real. - 07
Adjust for wild cards
In AK47 and Joker games, raise your standard for what counts as a strong hand. - 08
Start at the lowest table
Learn the flow of each variation where mistakes cost the least. - 09
Take breaks
Decisions get worse when you are tired or frustrated. Fixed session lengths help. - 10
Ignore “guaranteed win” tricks
Deals are random. Anyone selling a hack or mod is selling a scam.
Frequently asked questions
How do you master Teen Patti?+
Learn the hand rankings and how often each one appears, understand when to play blind and when to see your cards, fold weak hands early, and set a fixed budget for every session. Consistency and discipline matter more than any single trick.
What is the highest hand in Teen Patti?+
A Trail (three of a kind) is the highest hand, and three Aces is the best Trail. In the Muflis variation the ranking is reversed, so the lowest hand wins.
Is a Pure Sequence higher than a Trail?+
No. In standard Teen Patti a Trail beats a Pure Sequence, even though a Pure Sequence is slightly rarer by pure probability.
What is the difference between blind and seen in Teen Patti?+
A blind player bets without looking at their cards and pays half the stake of a seen player. A seen (chaal) player has looked at their cards and must bet double what a blind player bets.
What is a side show?+
A seen player can ask the previous seen player to privately compare cards. If the other player accepts, the player with the weaker hand must fold. The other player can refuse.
Is there a trick to win every time in Teen Patti Master?+
No. Every deal is random, so no trick or app can guarantee wins. Any site or video promising that is misleading. Good play only improves your decisions over many hands.
Which Teen Patti variation is best for beginners?+
Start with Classic Teen Patti. Once you know the standard rankings well, try Joker or AK47, where wild cards change which hands are strong.
